CARLOS ILLAN

EXPERT IN DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION

Carlos Illan holds a master in development cooperation and has 20 years of general experience in development cooperation, out of which 10 years of experience in policy-oriented research, advisory support on international/EU development policy and cooperation.

He has in-depth understanding of the international/EU aid policies and development agenda, i.e. Agenda 2030 and SDGs; European Consensus on Development and the Global Partnership for Effective Development and has also experience in monitoring and evaluation of development interventions. 

Carlos is currently collaborating with the Spanish Network for Sustainable Development (REDS) in carrying out the localisation of SDGs for regional and municipal authorities in Spain.
