AI (Artificial Intelligence) has been incorporated as a specific line of work, building on our prior experience in governance, public policy and organizational reform. We consider that AI offers significant opportunities, but also considerable risks. We are committed to the responsible use of AI, through an approach that safeguards human security, the public interest, respect for fundamental rights and democratic governance. Our objective is to support entities engaged in international cooperation in understanding, integrating and making informed decisions about the use of AI.

We believe AI can significantly enhance development strategies. However, AI adoption requires more than just technology; it needs institutional integration and organizational maturity, affecting decision-making, program management, and public accountability. This process must adapt to varying levels of institutional preparedness, including regulatory, technical, and organizational dimensions. Public and private organizations encounter challenges when adopting artificial intelligence (AI). These challenges include:

·      A lack of clear institutional criteria to determine which AI uses are acceptable within programmes and at organizational level.

·      Limited capacity to integrate, assess and scale AI within the programme cycle, while respecting institutional mandates, social safeguards and results frameworks.

·      Fragmented, informal or undocumented use of AI tools by staff and implementing partners, without traceability or oversight.

We propose concrete, actionable and adaptable interventions aligned with different levels of digital development (regulatory, technical and organizational culture), with the objective of supporting AI integration both within entities and within projects. Our added value lies in our flexibility to adapt methodologies and targeted advisory support, combining analysis, consultation, knowledge systematization, facilitation, training and evaluation.
