TAMARA EL KHOURY
JURIST AND INTERNATIONAL CONSULTANT
I am a jurist with an expertise in comparative constitutional law and international public law. I have recently embarked on a career as international consultant, with an emphasis on transitional contexts, constitution-making and institutional reform.
I have worked extensively with both institutional actors and civil society organizations, providing training and facilitating dialogue. I have conducted research and training for UNDP, UNOPS, the Max Planck Foundation for International Peace and the Rule of Law, and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation amongst others. I have been involved in reform processes in Libya, Jordan, Mali and Somalia.
I have been teaching Comparative Constitutional Law at IE University since 2016 and have been visiting professor at a number of universities in France and Spain. My current professional and research interests are centred on the interaction between democratic support mechanisms and development policy in transitional contexts.
